GrovLink board discussion brief · Prepared for internal evaluation
Evaluate a nonprofit-branded iOS and Android app, supported by GrovLink’s shared platform. Staff manage content in a web dashboard. GrovLink handles hosting, maintenance, and platform updates.
Identify a specific gap in how people find our services, respond to opportunities, or access our resources. Explain how an app would complement our website, newsletter, and social channels.
Choose the features that address that gap. Examples include service information, events, volunteer opportunities, requests, and learning resources. Confirm availability in the proposed plan. Demonstrations of planned features are not a commitment that those features are currently available.
Request a written proposal. Setup is separate from subscription. The initial subscription term is 12 months after launch; confirm payment, renewal, support, and scope in the agreement. Current pricing: https://grovlink.com/pricing.

Our team supplies branding and content, keeps information current, and follows up on requests. Confirm the expected publishing cadence, staff training, and response process before approval.
Agree scope and costs → prepare branding and initial content → configure and review the app → submit to the stores and introduce it to our community. Most launches take 4–6 weeks, subject to content readiness and store review. Confirm our schedule in the proposal.
Agree on a review date and two or three measures, such as community adoption, useful service requests, or volunteer interest. Confirm how each measure will be collected; do not assume every measure is available as a built-in report.
Arrange a walkthrough with the staff member who would manage the app. Bring the resulting scope, staffing commitment, and written cost proposal back for a spending decision.
